Tourist Sunday

All best plans and that! We had originally planned to go to Bakewell and get fish & chips today. We left the house, took the can of paint we didn't use back to Wickes and headed out towards the Peak District. Its all on our doorstep, a 10 minute drive out of town and its there. It also seemed like everyone in the UK had decided to do the same as us too. On our drive out there we decided that we didn't want a chippy and that Bakewell would probably be packed. Off to Grindleford Cafe instead! Couldn't get parked. Plan B, off to Hathersage instead! Couldn't get parked. Quick pitstop at the garage to grab a drink and back in the car again. Drove back out towards Owler Bar again and stopped in a layby to take in the scenery. 

The sky looked extra "big" today. The clouds were making the sky look so blue, it was beautiful. We sat there for a while watching the paragliders and taking in the fresh air. We saw a helicopter in the distance, when we got to Owler Bar it was coming in to land in the field, I haven't seen a helicopter landing up that close since I was a kid so that was cool to see. We decided from there to head to Chatsworth and go to the garden centre. Too nice a day to not do something. We bought 2 hot air balloon solar powered lights for the garden. Final stop of the day was Chatsworth Farm Shop, where we bought all items we need to make a ploughmans for dinner tonight, really looking forward to that.

We are back home and chilling out on the sofa now. husband is nodding off, so I am taking over control of the remote control!
