Saturday night again

Its Saturday night, so here we are, sat on the sofa trying to decide what to watch! We bought one of those Indian box meals from Sainsburys, thats just gone in the oven and it already smells amazing. 

My husband has arranged to meet our daughter twice this week, first time she tried to cancel and he wouldn't let her but got then he home from work too late. Tonight she has said she has to work late. He has now left the ball in her court and told her to tell him when she is ready to talk. There is only so long you can stay with a friend before you outstay your welcome. We don't want much, we just want to know what her plan is and how we can help. There is a bed here and a bed at her grandparents but she isn't in any hurry to use either. It will now be over 2 weeks that she has been allegedly sleeping on a sofa. Thats no good for anyone. After recent developments with the lying I am not even sure that its true. Even though I am still angry, she is our daughter and we just want her to be happy and living the best life she can but she seems to be going through a very early mid-life crisis. She just doesn't know who she is as a person. Every relationship, be it romantic or friendship, she has completely changed herself to fit in with the other person. She changes her style, her clothes, her music choices, her food choices, absolutely everything. She needs to take some time to be in her own company and find herself, its something she has never done. So many times she has been offered the opportunity to get some counselling/therapy but has never bothered to go, I really hope this time she sees that it could be of benefit to her. The advice we can offer as parents isn't going to be enough, and may fall on deaf ears, but we will still talk to her about whatever she needs.

Tomorrow is a day for me and my husband to spend together. I think we will go for a drive out to Bakewell and go and get some fish and chips if the weather is nice. Its been a long time since we did that and Sundays are the only day of the week we get to spend the whole day with each other. We shall see what the weather and the day brings.

Still trying to decide on a film to watch tonight!! By the time we finish choosing it will be midnight!
