Out of office on!!

If I had an out of office it would officially be on! I am so drained, this week couldn't come soon enough. We haven't got a lot planned either, so I think we will make a start on some house jobs that we want to do. Its still so strange to think that all the things we have wanted to do but never been able to we can now do as we own it! I think there will be many trips to diy shops this week. Painting the kitchen cupboards is on the list as we can't afford to replace them. I have already painted one door with a tester pot and its come out really well. Then there's the carpets upstairs. My husband moved in here over 20 years ago and the carpets have never been replaced. Can't wait to rip those horrible landlord specials up! We want to paint the stairs, the long term goal is a stair runner but we will start with some of those non-slip stair mats until we can afford the carpet and poles.

We went to my in-laws after I finished work today. It was my husbands birthday last week and my nephews girlfriends birthday 2 days ago so we had a nice family get together. Any excuse for a buffet tea and cake! It was a lovely evening, lots of laughs.

Lay in tomorrow. No plans to go anywhere and see anyone so maybe the right time to start some of these jobs on our home list!
