Germs, germs and more germs.
I've got another cold and I feel horrific. I am so sick of all the germs hanging around this year! My sister has a weakened immune system, with hospital appointments for tests that can only be done when she is well and I am meant to be seeing her on Sunday as we are taking Mum out for Mothers Day. I am sat here in a blanket feeling very sorry for myself, watching TOTP re-runs and eating Scampi Nik-Naks as its the only thing I can taste! TOPT 1989 and Madonna - Like a Virgin is kept off the top spot by Jason Donovan. What a time the 80s were! 😂
I watched Julie and Julia earlier. Has anyone else seen it? The film about a woman who blogged her way through cooking all the recipes in Julia Childs The Art of French Cooking. Its a lovely film, I really like watching things like that when I feel rubbish. I know I have the book the film was based on, but I remember stumbling across the original blog in 2003 when she had been cooking her way through the recipes for a few months. I love stuff like that.
Roll on 3 weeks when I have a week off work and I can maybe, finally, get on with some decorating! We do plan to go to Chatsworth that week too. It will be a year on the 1st April since we lost Casper and the day we picked up his ashes we went to Chatsworth for a walk round the gardens. The first week of April and it was glorious sunshine and hot, we couldn't believe the weather. We walked for hours around the gardens, finding bits of it neither of us had ever seen before. It was the perfect way to spend the day. Casper loved our garden. He was my bodyguard and helper when I was gardening. When I say helper, he always helped me find my kneeler because as soon as I stood up he laid on it!
Well I have just seen the time and I have managed to stay up half an hour later than last night, I have made it to 9:04pm before I have thought I might go to bed. Stupid cold!!!
